Vanessa Paterson’s Backpacking Adventure #2

Hello again!

This week, Vanessa’s staying with Baby Ariel in Sulani. Her weekly task is Mischievous Imp–raise mischief skill by 2 points, with the host family acting as her primary target. 😀

Now that my computer’s been restarted and updated and I no longer have a thousand tabs open, it should be a fairly smooth session, too. I hope.

This should be fun. ^^ Let’s get into it!

Before making her way to her next host-family, Vanessa decides to take on another odd job. Her funds are looking pretty sad.

And yeah, thank god she’s a teen. She wet herself basically as soon as I hit play. ._.

So, I totally thought Baby Ariel was a one star celebrity like Venessa Jeong–but nope! She’s a Proper Celebrity . . . and I don’t remember how many stars that is.

Let’s see if Vanessa can get through her front door.

She can!

So, for the record, I’m pretty sure it’s only the houses that have the celebrity lot trait that are restricted. I’m not sure if you’re able to remove that lot trait so you can stay with celebrities, but Imma probably try to. One of Vanessa’s later rolls was for the Bailey-Moon household, and I’m not gonna turn down that chance if I don’t have to. XP

Anyway.

Key to the house acquired, Vanessa’s pleased to note the second bedroom and catches some sleep before making breakfast the next morning.

(Ariel chose the tiny single bed in the other room. Nessa’s not gonna complain. XD)

Breakfast is a little awkward, maybe, thanks to Ariel’s celebrity, but they get through it.

Ariel even initiates a couple of interactions, so soon enough . . .

We have the whole social menu at our disposal!

And it’s Prank day! Could that have worked out any better?

Let’s get to work on that weekly task.

Vanessa spams some mischief interactions–with a couple friendly ones here and there to keep the conversation from going bad–and her mischief skill goes up two points with no problem!

(I probably should’ve taken a picture before for posterity, but she was at level 1 when she knocked on the door, and is now level 3.)

Task complete! And Prank Day tradition done as well, to boot! 😀

. . . You gonna eat any of the salad she made, Ariel?

She stood in front of the door for hours, complaining about being hungry and bored and tired, and I reset her like, 3 times thinking she was stuck. Then . . .

She changed into her swimwear and ran off to . . . do something. I didn’t follow her. XP

I’m not worried about the bills, I just wanna know why they’re so high. It’s literally an empty lot! A tiny empty lot! Jesus, Newcrest.

Speaking of the tiny empty lot, she went to school on Monday, which means she also did an odd job.

And she made bank at that odd job, holy crap. Way to go, Nessa!

But, damn, look at those needs. Let’s go back to Ariel’s.

She spent Tuesday at the beach, attempted to play chess with . . . someone–but they left before she could even touch one of the pieces–and did some sunbathing.

Girl got tan, and did a lot of chatting.

Oh, and of course Judith chooses to show up now. >.>

So Vanessa got her autograph. Just because.

Wednesday was another school and odd job day.

And Arun (and Dominic Fyres) visited her home lot, despite having no reason to know where it even is. XP

Neither stayed long, and she went back to Ariel’s for the night.

. . . This was gonna be a shot of them chatting, just to show that they do see each other and talk, but as soon as I got the camera into position, Ariel ran away to wash her dish.

So have a shot showing that she spends like, 98% of her day in her swimsuit.

And so Thursday is spent just off the beach lot, putting out her sales table and making some pretty decent cash off MySims dolls and snow globes.

And Friday is spent chatting up one of her customers from the previous day to get friend #3 for the first milestone of her aspiration.

And I feel like I have to make it a point to say the flower thing was not a romance attempt on my part. Flowers are just the only thing in her inventory that make for even a semi-decent gift and if it checked off a Love Day tradition, well. None of the others got done, so Imma let her have that one golden tick. XP

Saturday is officially the day of going back to her home lot with as many needs in the green as I can get there, so she does her homework, does the last of her decent houseguest duties, and grabs a picture of Ariel (who chose a ridiculous pose) before leaving.

She takes 2 odd jobs (the packing boxes one is failed again), grabs what collectibles spawned over the week . . .

And we end week 2 with her casting scruberoo on herself because she got filthy.

Woot, woot! We did much better this week! Gotta admit, I’m not looking forward to week 3’s task because it’s probably gonna drain her newly filled bank account. XP
